Depuis avril 2011, une alliance informelle d’ONG européennes s’est formée autour du nouveau programme cadre de recherche et d’innovation, Horizon 2020. Dès son début, FSC y est activement impliquée. L’alliance co-organise avec des membres du parlement européen une table ronde sur la place des citoyens, de la société civile et des bien publics dans le programme Horizon 2020 qui se tiendra le jeudi 7 juin entre 12h00 et 15h00 au Parlement européen (en anglais).
Cet événement fait suite à une première initiative lancée au premier semestre 2011 par une centaine d’ONG. Cette initiative a pris la forme d’une Lettre ouverte à la Commission européenne concernant le cadre stratégique commun pour le financement de la recherche (2014-2020) : https://sciencescitoyennes.org/open-letter-eu-research/
